The 12 of June for 12 hours Sickhouse will try to collect the incredible sum of 12000 € to cover the costs of its rent! Like you all know the year has been rough on cultural spaces, and Sickhouse is no exception. If we manage to keep our program running online and if we enjoy welcoming you to our terrace, the various incomes of our events are missing and we would like to call for your help and support!
Of course we can't just make a donation pot, that would not be Sickhouse style. So we are setting up a totally improvised incredible and shinny telethon to collect money while presenting you yet another creative program! With performances, music, food, lottery, tarot reading, beer brewery, surprise guests ...
Join us for a marathon of playfulness and don't forget your cash! You can join from the terrace (and enjoy the cocktails) or from the stream!

Supra Load is an exhibition curated by the students themselves and regrouping works reacting to a year of social distancing. "In a time of forced isolation, human interaction became an out of the ordinary experience; leaving us feeling overwhelmed and unsettled. Supra-load is a combination of the supra normal – the unsettling – and a sensory overload."
The group of artists is reflecting on the transformation of our social relationships, torn between the virtual and the physical world. Through their installations you are invited to rediscover the physicality of eerie feelings...
Andra Stoica & Nieke Nouws: The work of Andra and Nieke plays with the idea of the uncanny, the eerie. Foreigners are entities estranged to human interaction who talk in tongues, incomprehensible to the mere mortals. They get nervous around those who are not like themselves. Upon approaching them, pay close attention, as to not startle them.
Vera Mathijssen & Sanne Hofker: What is it like to be followed in real life? To be the haunted one? The space created by Vera and Sanne brings you in contact with this confrontational behaviour. The disturbing social interaction that may have become ordinary for some, but absolutely absurd for many of us in the outside world.
Render from Alexander Zanen & Yamuna Schick: Our worldview is a mere projection of the inner psyche. The linear, cornered, bent and twisted, reality is broken. The projections act as an entity of this mere distorted worldview. Reality is not real as in objective sense but acts as an organism of reciprocal forces between projection and absorption. The sculpture negotiates the spectators reality.

Stranded in isolation - Stuck in unpleasant mental states - Dreading human interaction - Left to produce nightmares - Getting close to fall through - Projected out in reality - Machines have bad days too - Does it damage their sanity?
