Death Game

Twilight Zone: Escape Clause (1959)
Geregisseerd door Mitchell Leisen

“You’re about to meet a hypochondriac. Witness Mr. Walter Bedeker age forty-four. Afraid of the following: death, disease, other people, germs, draft, and everything else. He has one interest in life and that’s Walter Bedeker. One preoccupation, the life and well-being of Walter Bedeker. One abiding concern about society, that if Walter Bedeker should die how will it survive without him?”

Zardoz (1974)

“You have penetrated me. There is no escape. You are within me. Come into my centre… Come into the centre of the crystal.”

Immortality? What would it feel to never die. This evening program presents immortality as a challenge of time, where the exciting threat of death is missed by immortals in their long long lives…
