Alicia en el paìs de las maravillas
Cinema Obscura is a curated film experience focused on cult, experimental, and unconventional cinema. The selection of film relates to the theme of the year “Dream No Return” and wants to inspire discussions, reactions, ideas around the idea of dreaming collectively.
The program begins with an immersive pre-screening ritual (expect crafting, soft role-playing and open discussion), followed by the screening and a post impression sharing.
Alicia en el Pais de las maravillas, 1976 from Eduardo Pla, 72min
In 1970s Argentina, young Alicia follows a restless man reminiscent of a white rabbit up an escalator to a surreal underground world that reflects her own Buenos Aires, where downtown streets, parks, and beaches now appear strange and distorted.
