COLLIDERS: Playful Makers Meet-up
COLLIDERS is our monthly meet-up for playful makers, programmers, enthusiasts, producers, artists, designers, curators, and all people interested in game making. At Colliders, we brainstorm, present our progress, give feedback, enjoy creations and, of course, we play!
Colliders purpose is to develop a local network around indie/art house game makers and playful artists. With Colliders, we want to support each other and create more opportunities for collaborations and exchange.
Colliders has a different theme and game selection each month, in May it will be tiny tools.
Making games and interactive stories is not that complex at it seems. The internet is full of projects aiming to smooth the transition from game enthusiast to game developers. This tools are often small, experimental, with limited capabilities and often very strong design constraints. Similarly as early game developers faced very strong hardware limitations, this tools offer us a limited development environment in which we can create our games. The best part? There are a lot of them for which you won't even need to code!
In the upcoming edition of colliders we will be showcasing a few games made with the so called: tiny tools. But if you are curious to make a game with one of these tools you might consider also coming to the Multi Bitsy Workshop hosted by Chloé Desmoineaux or browse the Tiny Tools Directory (maybe you manage to make something to showcase on the open screens next week?).
Register here if you want to present your work, test your game, or give a short presentation.
