Sickhouse Summer Filmcamp Side Program
The Sickhouse Summer Film Camp is a two-week program dedicated to experimenting with film, DIY culture, and collective storytelling. The camp aims to be a playground where participants can play with the idea of what a film can be, trying out techniques and exploring possibilities.
In the months leading up to the camp, we opened a call for participants between the ages of 16 and 28 to join (the call is closed now). The selected group will make the film from start to finish: they’ll be writers, producers, actors, directors, lighting technicians, set designers, and much more.
2026 Theme: Collective Dream Mare
This year’s camp is being held in conjunction with an exhibition by Josefin Arnell, who will join the camp for several days. The theme, Collective Dream Mare, serves as a space to vent rage. Together, we’ll explore how it can be used creatively as a force to build and imagine other realities.
The film will be premiered on September 24 during the KO(O)RTS Film Festival, organized by Sickhouse, Concordia, and Theatermakerij.
There will be some activities open to the public during the two weeks of the filmcamp, stay tuned!
